Surprise!!

Going for my usual morning walk with a girlfriend we rounded the corner to find this fellow.

I think we surprised him. We looked at him, he looked at us, he decided to hop off into the bushes.

We have more and more kangaroos around the lake these days, and they get quite close, but I'm still very wary of them. They might look cute, but those hind legs are strong.

The bright yellow was amazing against the cream from the fence and the yet to change green of the oak.

It's just down the road, so I'll be keeping a watch on the oak to see when it starts to turn.
