Friday's Fences

I drive past this place most days on my way to work, and I've just noticed the fence.
I have stood here many times and admired the view or watched a sunset, but never taken note of the fence. It's not a special fence but it has a view. I'll revisit this fence in FF in spring I think.

Paving and Quilts

Theo has started the paving down the side of the house. Its a pretty big job, considering he's not a  experienced at paving , but he's a man on a mission.
As long as his fingers hold out, they've been hit a few times with the mallet, usually it means time to pack up and continue another day. Its looking great, can't wait to see it done with the garden beds along it.

This is Laura's 21st quilt finished. I'm really pleased with how it came out. I had edege to edge quilting done on it, I was a bit hesitant about getting the stitchery quilted over, but I'm really pleased with the result.

This is the back of the quilt, I had everyone sign it who came and celebrated with her.

Another 1600 quilt, with the gorgeous, Vintage Modern range.

And a cupboard, which I am soooo excited about, (thrilling I know), is my new drying cupboard. It was a tiny space that couldn't be used for anything, but after a little think time came up with this. We had a spare heating duct when we finished the renovation and Justin and Dad fitted it out this week. Shut the door and the washing is gone. Just need to work out how to get it folded and put away when the door is shut ;-D

Friday Fences and Chilly Mornings

Last week we had the most beautiful mornings, foggy then the gorgeous sunshine. I happened to be on my morning walk as the fog was starting to lift, but my wonderful son remembered FF and took this for me. It's looking out to the side fence from the bach verandah.

This was my walk around the lake, kind of eerie....

and the thermometer when I got home.....a bit chilly you might say

Friday's Fences

This fence is a bit rugged, but its been through a lot, or should I say a lot has been through it.
The owners did a clean of their property, cut back heaps from the huge hedge to reveal this poor forgotten fence. I drive past most days on my way to work, I think it deserves a spot on my FF.

Sunday Morning

This morning was just the reason that reminds me why we live where do.
I opened the curtains to see the front garden alive with birds.
there were 6 rosellas in total, below are two babies,
a Currajong and adult rosella

And our regular guest Mr Kookaburra, this time I managed a great shot of him.

Friday's Fences

I just love kookaburras. This fellow was in my front garden last week, waiting for his breakfast.
On the menu was a few juicy worms and a yabby, and some other grub things.
My fence is behind, sorry, not totally correct, but if I had have run out to get the shot from in front of the fence he would have flown away.

Friday Fences

Apologies for the darkness of this photo, I waited all week for it to be sunny , but the only real sunny day was today and I was at work. This fence is just a few houses down from my place, and I admire each day when I walk or drive past. The tree is just a firey glow at the moment, so I thought it was perfect to mark the last day of Autumn.
