Autumn Friday Fences

Friday's Fences

I grew up walking past this place, (primary school is just behind it) we used to make up scary stories

about who lived there!! Now it's one my favourite places to have coffee or lunch with girlfriends

 

 

FF News break!! :-)

 

Last week I took a photo of the garden down the road, I went for my usual walk earlier in the week to find they had ripped out the pretty wire fence!! A new fence!!! stay tuned to see what they replace it  with......

My computer died last week so I am waiting for a new one. I'm also hoping that my computer man, Bart will be able to save all my docs and photos, as naughty me doesn't have anything  backed up!!!

Friday's Fences

I go by this place everyday, and never really took much notice...........until this week!!

It used to be a jungle, you couldn't see a thing, you could barely see the fence, but last weekend they had a clear out, what an enchanting garden was hidden in there!!. There's a small water feature with an angel, a bridge, a garden swing (sorry I couldn't get it in the picture) a planet .........it's just lovely. Pity I didn't get a before shot!!

"L" Scatterdays

"L" is this weeks Scatterday letter, and the list is sky, purple, a city and a lap quilt.

Not too difficult, but to find the photos, now that was a bit of a challenge.

In the sky I have this photo of 'La Luna'. I think it was taken last November on our way home from Lorne.

Purple, well that was easy, Laura's bedroom is painted purple!!

Ahhh memories.........my favorite city, Lugano. Situated in Southern Switzerland in Canton Tessin.

I was there in 1984!!

I took myself to Lysterfield Lake Park for a walk yesterday. It was just so peaceful.

 along the track I had this view on one side...

on the other side, I had this view, aren't the spotted gums magnificent?!

Stitched in Time

I am still on a high. The weekend my friend Gail and I hosted was a huge success.

We planned and prepared and it all came together for a fabulous 2 days of stitching, fun, friends and food. 

I made name tags,

We made the table centre decorations,

 The hall all set up, gift bags for everyone.

The designers Gail Pan and Jennifer Knol

we had the girls from Foothills for a little retail therapy

 Lunch

and afternoon tea

 My fantastic helpers, Laura who made the best scones and my girlfriend Hermi absolutely amazing help in the kitchen

Looks like everyone had a a fantastic time, we may be doing it all again next year. Stay tuned.

But for now, I'm looking forward to doing some of my own work, and have a little me time in my sewing room.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter, we did, we had a lot of family time. Easter egg hunts on Good Friday with hubby's family,  Laura arrived home Easter Saturday form her Canada/Us trip, 

to say she had the time of her life I think is an understatement, but she's happy to be home. 

Easter Sunday spent with my family.

I've also been busy with planning and preparing for our Stitched in Time sewing days on the 13th and 14th,

I'm getting very nervous.
