Friday Emu Fence's

We went 'up the bush' on the weekend to visit family, I always love going up there, the company, the scenery, it just makes me take a step back and appreciate what there is in life, not just what is always around me.
On my walk I went around the country roads and I came across this fellow. Now Emu's are not something I would normally stumble across. So I was excited and he was next to a fence.

I've never seen an Emu in person. He's a big guy!

Fascinating - we did a big study on emu's in our homeschool class this past year, and we learned to love these animals! Thanks for sharing the pics. Mary

Glad the emu didn't object to your taking his photo. I've heard they can be aggressive--kicking with those powerful legs. Some are grown on farms in Kentucky. Unexpected pleasure to encounter them, I'm sure.

I scrolled down to see your "blue moon" photos. Just lovely. Even blurry moon shots--which yours were not that much-are worth sharing.

Great photos, Ramona! Love that emu AND the country fence! Definitely not something one would see here! :-)
