Friday Fences

This fence is nothing special, BUT the view is amazing. I took these photos a few years ago when went on a family holiday along the Victorian West Coast. We saw brochures for this place and decided to go and explore. Its a tree top walk, about 30 meters(100ft) up from the forest floor in the Otway Ranges called the Otway Fly.  (thanks Faye (fromFaye @ Summit Musings)for the idea, I had to go looking for these photos)

New Companion

Its been a while since I've done a bits and pieces post, hope I don't bore you.
First things first, I'd like to introduce you to my new companion.......
My other friend somehow got lost. We went to Bendigo a few weeks ago to visit, I had taken heaps of photos of  family, fences and things, but sadly my other Lumix never came back home with us. We looked for it, but......poof!! it vanished!!! DH thought he had put it in the car, I thought it was in my SIL's kitchen. Nothing, nowhere. I couldn't be without a camera for too long, so here we are, another Lumix, it has a few different features, but I think we're going to get along just fine.

On Sunday I took myself for a walk, I've been a little more adventurous lately, tackling hills I never EVER would have thought of doing, or thought I could do. This road is just down from my house, its actually a fire access track, it's soooo steep. It leads down to the little lake where we walk most mornings, (we drive in from the other direction) anyway, on the way back I passed this fellow, that's how slow I was going,

I was really pleased I beat him to the top!!!! ;-D

Here's the view from about halfway down to the lake

I spied these two Galah's sitting in the power cables, the zoom on the camera works well!!!
I have managed a little sewing too, another 1600 or Jelly roll quilt. This time I used what was in my stash, ALL my Butterfly fabric, I cut 3inch strips and joined fat 1/4's to get the width, and I had to go to about 1750 to get some extra length. I was really pleased with the result

I'll try and get out in the garden and take some shots of what's flowering in the next couple of days.

Till next time

Friday Fences

I took this photo when were in Queensland earlier this year. Though we were only there for a couple of days we managed to find some really pretty places to walk. This boardwalk in Thornlands was one of them.

Friday's Fences

This walking around the local area streets is wonderful, all the photos I get of things with fences, or fences with things. I would so love some chooks, but our block isn't really chook friendly. I'll just wait for my walking friend to get hers.

I just love this fence, I walk past it sometimes on my walks. And now that the Happy Wanderer is out, it looks even better. Spring is definitely around the corner.
