Spied these two (kookaburras) perched in the front garden yesterday. Fortunately for me there are two fences sneaking into the pic for Good Fences.
I could hear them laughing after they flew away, high up in the neighbours tree.

What are they, kookaburras? Great capture.
I love your Kookaburra birds, so cute. Neat windmill, a great fence find. Have a great day and week ahead!
They were waiting for you to take their picture as they knew you needed a fence shot!
Nice photo. I like the progression of layers to the back fence.
Those birds are so neat!
Very cool I would love to hear that laugh. Nice fence. B
such cute kookaburras! what a great shot! thanks, ramona!
Wow, that is totally cool, I'd love to have a visit from them too, or perhaps their cousins! Enjoy your day I hope they come back.
love the windmill too. ( :
Not familiar with these birds. They saw you with a camera and wanted to be included.
For some reason this shot makes me think Halloween--I know I am crazy now. I do like that windmill under the tree.
how neat!
Goodness they must be fairly large sized birds.
The kookaburras are lovely but it's the little windmill that catches my eye. My friend has one and her neighbour complained that it squeaked when it turned. She had to oil it to keep her neighbour happy but I loved the sound. It always took me back to my childhood. A silent windmill just isn't right! Great image for Good Fences.
Reminds me of the song I sang as a kid. "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree. Merry, merry king of the bush is he. Laugh, Kookaburra! Laugh, Kookaburra! Gay your life must be." I haven't thought of that song in years. Great picture!!
Great pic. I love that fence too. Thanks for sharing.
Verry nice! I was inspired to look up that call.
