Two Saturdays ago, I went out for my usual morning walk, only to find some mean person/people literally ripped our front fence out!! Not happy. All fixed now, thank goodness they didn't do too much damage.

There is a fence there underneath all that foliage, but what attracted me to this, was the smell!! 

Divine! I have no idea what type of tree/plant it is (I'm not a green thumb) but the scent was simply amazing, delicate, yet powerful, but not overbearing. I wish you could smell it.

Spied these two (kookaburras) perched in the front garden yesterday. Fortunately for me there are two fences sneaking into the pic for Good Fences. 

I could hear them laughing after they flew away, high up in the neighbours tree.

This gorgeous dog came running down the garden to say Hello. He/she is in the back yard which backs onto the bike track where I walk sometimes. The very first time it came running (charging) down, it was also barking, caught me totally by surprise, frightened the living daylights out me, I just about needed a clean pair of undies!!! Thank goodness there is a fence between us ;-)

Last photos my Autumn walks. It has been one of the best displays of colour I've seen here in while.

Chilly winter winds are settling in, cold wind blowing up from Antarctica already, but will we see snow in the hills this year?? It would be a real novelty.

 A new fence is popping up around the corner..........will it be interesting or just another fence???

This beautiful pair of Rainbow Lorikeets were making an absolute racket outside of my sewing room window last week. I got totally distracted by them and watched them for ages. From the fence to the trees to the fence again. They really are stunning

I've been away form blogging and a few other things for a little while, instead we've been commuting backwards and forwards for the last 6 weeks as my gorgeous sister in law Raeleen fought her battle. 

She allowed us to share some very special moments and I have to say it was an honour and a privilege to have shared her last few weeks with her. Sadly she lost her battle on February 6th,

 her  love of life and family, her kindness, her cheekiness, her love of the simple things will be with me forever.
