Friday Fences

This our front fence, we've been living here for 10 or so years,
the last year or two we've been saying the front fence really needs a spruce up, we need to paint it, we really do need to paint it, so on Tuesday Theo and Laura started sanding it back, all 182 of them, Wednesday, I was out there with Laura painting the pickets,

while Theo did some gate post mending.
We still have the burgundy to paint, hopefully that will be done over the weekend, so next week I can post the finished project.

Linking with Friday's Fences

Till next time

You have done a fine job with the paint. It is always amazing what some of that magical liquid can do. The arm gets tired, but it is worth all the effort. genie

Oh, that is going to be pretty when done...but you know, I love weathered fences, too. And love old rusty fences...my husband thinks I am crazy.

That's a lot of slats to have to paint! I certainly don't envy you the work, but I'm sure I'll envy your finished fence!

Isn't it always the way things like that happen...one can have good intentions for months or even years, and then finally it gets pulled together....can't wait to see more of the results! I love the color you chose!

That is some job for you but I see it will be done soon. Maybe you need to come back to holland after so many years. Have a nice weekend

I love picket fences. They look so homey and inviting somehow.
